rattling noise on acceleration
Hi guys, any opinions on this problem would be much appreciated before I go through the typical song and dance with my local mechanic:
Yesterday i began to noise a loud rattling/ knocking noise whenever I accelerated my Jeep. Drove home about 5 more miles and the noise kept getting louder, eventually being constant when I was idling.
Upon lifting my hood I noticed that 1) my coolant reserve was extremely low and added more coolant to the tank
2) that the house leading from the Engine Air Cleaner Filter to the Engine block had come off
I wasn't quite home and added some coolant to the vehicle before driving back 2 more miles. My question is, do yall think that the coolant low or the hose i described would have anything do with the rattling noise i described? thanks

Sounds like possible motor mount issues that may have caused other issues. Having more information about your rig would help greatly towards these folks helping you.
