i am in the process of transplanting my flip out Dual Xdvd83 headunit out of my 07 dodge ram and puting it in my 99 cherokee.

WHY DOES MY JEEP HAVE A TWIN HARNESS????

worst thing ever! takes twice as long to strip and sauder(spelling?) everything! and you would think that if they were going to do such a thing as have two of them they would have one of the 8 pin connectors control the speakers...but no they have to mix and match them between the two of them.

okay im done ranting now.

So far so good. got all the wires lines up and ready to be heat shrinked tomorrow and then install the dang thing.

then i will post some pics for you all

ALL DONE!!!

i built a wood "cage" for the radio behind the dash so that it can take some abuse when i am off road...but manly just to beef up the mounting area because the factory points suck!
i will eventually build a tray to hold my iphone in the location you can see. and yes i know..i broke the radio bezel and am ordering a new one wiring this thing was a nightmare compared the my 07 dodge ram that it came out of!

yea i going to hold out for my lift. I get good reception on the radio bangin with the two door speakers my jeep came with, when the time comes i'll figure out where to put two more. I think i would like to get a head liner out of the jy that holds them like my old 99.
