Radio getting power but will not work
Ok so I have a 2008 jeep grand cherokee, the stock radio turned off one day, then back on hours later. This continued for about a month until it finally just stopped working, i went out and bought the same exact radio, switched out the old one, as soon as i plugged the new one in all of my lights on my dash came on, my headlights/wipers/turn signal all would not work, the new radio is lighting up and the cd player continuously sounds like it is trying to eject a cd (there is no cd in it) so i know it is getting power to it but i am getting nothing other than that. Once i unplug the radio everything goes back to normal, i have tried 2 different radios and still get the same result. I am assuming there is a wiring issue somewhere but i have no idea where to look. I have checked all of the fuse boxes, they were all good. Can someone please give me some advice!!

Welcome to the wrong forum!
The Grand Cherokee section is over here.
Other than that, sounds like a short. Got a multimeter? You need to start finding out which wires are shorted to ground.
