Default Radio/ CB help

So this is probably a stupid question but my radio and cb dont seem to work right in my xj. I only get one radio station and that station doesnt come in very clear while the rest of the stations are all static and I can only use my cb when my jeep is off. Is it just bad electrical, and how do I fix it.

Did you wire it directly to the battery, with a fuse, and is the ant hooked up at the radio and ant?

Im not sure how to check to see if the antenna is hooked up or attached properly. Im not very keen on electrical and wiring stuff, even though this seems so simple.

For your stereo there is usually a connection behind front passenger side kick panel. I was having the same problem and the connection there wasn't tight.
