Default Radio assistance

This isn't my first time doing a radio, done a ton. However, this one is perplexing my brain. So it works, no problem at all, it works. Well except the sound. If I want the sound to work, I have to unplug the black harness plug and then reconnect, once that happens, the sound is perfect. If I switch from USB to radio, I have to unplug and replug the black harness again. If I then go from radio to USB, yep, unplug and replug. Turn the Cherokee off and turn it back on, yep, you guessed it!

Everything seems to be connected right. This is my project Cherokee and have been rebuilding it, including having to fix the cut wires from the previous owner for the radio. Any insight would be great!

I take it this isn't the OEM radio? What connections pass through the black connector?

its the speaker connections, not oem, if you'd seen the original wiring and radio the PO did, omg. From my research, there may be a short in one of the speakers, which may be why the PO cut the pigtails out in the first place. Drivers side front speaker has no sound, if it's a short, betting it's that speaker.

Are you asking about a CB radio with USB & LSB or an Amateur HF Radio, those are the only ones that have USB (Upper Side Band)?

USB meaning like Jump drive, it's an aftermarket mechless head unit, I put everything on my Jump drive
