radiator flush
Ditto. But if you are hell bent on draining through the peacock I think if you remove your headlight bezel on the passenger you can get at it. Kinda remember seeing that it looked like you had better access to it when I installed my headlight harness.

I have a ‘98, and bad to remove the headlight bezel and grille to get access to the petcock. I then used a pair of pliers to reach in and untwist the petcock. I then did the whole fill with distilled water, run for a bit with heater on, then dump again. Did that till it was only draining distilled water. Then added the right amount of fluid.
Was a pain. And time consuming, but got it all clean and replaced.

I read somewhere that the engineer who designed the radiator drain petcock on a 2000 Cherokee needs to be severely punished and banned forever from the automotive industry. After much consternation, I finally found mine (2000 Cherokee Sport, 4.0L). Remove the passenger side headlight bezel. Remove the turn signal. At the right side of the recess where the turn signal was, there is a small opening. Inside that small opening is a plastic **** that is impossible to get to or to even begin to turn. THAT'S IT!
After an hour of cursing the designer, I ended up removing the lower radiator hose.to drain the radiator. I would not mess with the plastic petcock under any circumstance. It just looks like one of those things that will very quickly turn an easy 10 min job into three days of hell.
