I am not sure on yours but on my 95 the drain plug was on the bottom passenger side of the radiator.

On my 98 it's on the passenger side kinda' tucked in behind the headlight bezzle. Made me nutz lookin' for it.

Default Question

I know this post is old, but I'm about to flush my cooling system and change the heater core. I've read a lot of the write ups on how to drain the radiator, and I plan on taking the lower hose off to drain it. But a lot of the write ups say they had to move the air box to disconnect the lower hose, can't you just disconnect it from the engine instead of the radiator, since the air box isn't in the way?

Electric fan is more in the way. Remove it first. Leave the air cleaner alone.

Default Just remove the grill

I am flushing the coolant in my 88 Cherokee XE and I only had to remove the grill to get to the drain plug. Whole system was empty in minutes
