That's why I got another one. I get **** from people for going back to a renix xj or xj in general saying get a real jeep like my yj. I just say to them look for 7k I can have 4 corner leaf springs under the axles or for 3 grand I can have a 4 link coil from suspension 4 doors for more ****** and a 4.0 not a 4.2 that has a carb. They get pissed every time. And really even though it's doa right now how can you beat a clean *** xj on 8.25 with 30 from 4.56 and lockers for 3k? You can't. Now if I get it running I will park on top of who ever I want!!!! Yes alcohol is involved with this post. Good night gentlemen!

Ok so I did the coil and icu refreshing I also have 12 v going to it key on. No spark. Cleaned the ground at the dip stuck tube as well as the firewall ground. Started unplugging **** found the fuel pump ballast to be pretty nasty cleaned that. Checked my sensor ground I have 6.3 ohms constant no fluctuations. I haven't done the solder joints yet and I Dont Know if they have been already done. The harness is in what appears to be new split sheeting. My 88 was factory and te sheeting was crumbling. Next step is to charge the battery again at work in the morning and pull the ecu down and check the terminals and clean them bastards. At what point do I just get a coil from the store or an icu from the yard ?

Is that the logical next step ? I may be missing something but it seems like if I have 12 v going to the icu it should be able to fire. Unless my square wave is messed up coming from the flywheel.

If your engine to bat neg is that high, its your connections or the ground cable from bat neg to the block. If That high resistance is in your sensor ground circuit, you need to trace it down, solder those crimped connections cruiser explains.
I have maybe 5, 110V battery chargers, but no grid power. (for over 30 years). Btw solar has gotten so cheap for $80 you could buy a panel that you could just put on your hood and come home to a charged battery...for 20 years. I'm rambling, but the sheer idea of an issue with charging a 12 battery is odd to me.
In any case, can you get that down to an Ohm or so? There is more that is over my head. The CPS signal can be checked right at the ECU. Besides that, at the ICM, besides the 12v feed, there is another 5V feed. Stuff there can be checked, but again over my head.
I suggest you lower that 6.3 figure. You might make Cruiser grumpy if you don't

Yes this harness seems to be rock solid. Still no fire. Fresh battery charge battery passes load and cpasatence test. Cranks like a raped ape. I smell fuel at the tail pipe. Fresh fuel. All connectors have been opened up by me and all have already been cleaned and dielectric greased. Battery terminals cleaned both ends. Ground studs cleans on the bock and body. Haven't done the ecu yet I didn't be in home my 10mm wrench and last time I tried the socket didn't work well. Damn flex heads. I don't see any reason I shouldn't be getting spark. I took off the cap rotors and wires. The cap and rotor were a but carbines up. Cleaned that off all plug wires are dielectriced up both ends. Could and icu is cleaned and contacted adjusted. I have printed off again cruisers write up and the stuff in the link of flinstones. I'm really getting down too three causes. Well maybe 4. 1 defective coil/icu 2 defective cam sensor. 3 defective ecu. 4 just ****ed and cursed with renix jeeps.

Ok well the. That rules that out. Well what should my next step be ? Should I go buy a new coil hope that fixes it ? Go to the junk yard and snag a icu coil and an ecu ? Or burn the ****er down?
