Yeah. I'll have to pull the battery and the starter take the battery to be charged and then find the bolt

OK...sounds fishy! I hope it's the right torque plate. I'm guessing you have never seen it run? Also ..no harm in checking for spark on the off chance your meter is lien'....

I wonder why you're smelling gas.

Should have neither spark or fuel on cranking with a bad CPS.

Unless your injectors may be leaking upon fuel pump initialization.

Ever refreshed the ICM/Coil contacts? Post 4?

I have had excellent luck with the PC307 from Rockauto also. Made by Siemens, the OEM supplier and it's the high altitude version. I also do the mod to the upper mounting hole. Post7.

It ran and drove fine untill it left me at the store. Ran like a champ. I think the injectors leak. I'll test spark. I used the pc307 in my 88 and it worked great. I believe it's the right flex plate I see no signs of the trans ever being removed. I have service records of it and they keep recommending a rear main and it's never been done. The only thing I know they did was at case swap to a 231 I'm told. I haven't checked the tag.

OK, I just wanted to rule out the low signal being from the torque plate being off a post 90.

When I decide something doesn't have spark I'll hold the wire and pull the cord, (or crank it), just to be sure. Why not?

I'll check tonight. But with such alow voltage I don't think I'll get spark. It ran like a champ when I test drove it. Now it won't start I have low CPs voltage. I have the high alt sensor coming ASAP I'll check spark after work. I can hear the fuel pump running and have fuel pressure

I had a thought...you could check the 88 to see that if it's you meter. Or plan B. Don get's his head around the idea that even Napa sells crap sometimes!

Makes sense, mine started crapping out as it dropped below .3. (I happened to be watching it.) Once at a yard sale the old guy told me his 88 would stall every time he stopped for a light. Of course I whipped out my meter and checked his. .1 is all he had. Funny thing, there was still a greasy old string still tied to his plug from last time!

Anyway it would be neat to see Cruisers mod actually bring A Jeep to life, right in front of our eyes! Ikd if they will refund you or just offer a replacement. Often with electrical parts there can be a problem with returns. (so people don't just try this, or that)
