Quick Question for you guys on lifting the rear up from anywhere to 1.5-2 inches

Default Quick Question for you guys on lifting the rear up from anywhere to 1.5-2 inches

Alright i jus want to go about 2" cuz im gonnna be an extremely poor college kid in a couple months....so here is the question im gonnna get some coil spacers for the front...what shall i get for the back.....i kno ppl say shackles and some ppl say full length aal and of course i would love to go with full leaf packs..cuz ome offers some nice 2" full leaf packs for $110 each..but i dont think that is in the budget....so full length aal's or schackles??????

shackels for the win. you get more flex performance accesorise offers some for around 40 bones.

Go for the shackles for sure!! I have not heard anything good coming from AALs!!

On the other hand.......................
I have done 3 xj's using the main leaf from a stock pack. All of them ride phenomenal and none have sagged in 4+ years. Shackles work and are easy to install but they put additional wear on your springs. Long term isn't good. Just like a short AAL it will have a negative effect long term. Check this out. Want a few pics let me know.BTW add a xj main leaf you get about 2" of lift. Do xj main plus second leaf and you get about 2.5" of lift but you should get new u bolts.

Whole set of S10 springs minus the eyes added to the original master leaf on your XJ will get you about 2.5-3" of lift and a decent ride quality.

I hear that shackles flatten out the leafs over time... what if the leafs are already flat? Are shackles still an option or should i look at new leafs?
