Default Quick opinion needed on brake fluid

The fluid level is below the "add" line and I'm curious if I am ok to top it off with dot 3 fluid or if there is more involved. Should I bleed the old out first? It can't be leaking much at all, haven't had to worry about it in 2 years.

thanks

You can top it off. If the fluid level is down, it means either your pads/shoes are worn or you have a leak. So inspection of the brakes is in order.
