Default Quick: Firestone Destination AT reviews needed

Hey all,
I can get a decent deal on the firestone destination AT if I buy tomorrow. No other place in town can even come close to the deal. I think I was looking for a more aggressive AT tire but I cannot find a better deal in town or online. My XJ is primarily a daily driver, but I do a lot of weekend wheeling and often fish and hunt on the mountain. Please give reviews and advice on this tire. Check out a pic of the tread below.

I'm not too interested in opinions about other tires unless you know where to get them cheap.

Thanks for your help,
s

Absolutely fantastic tire.

I have bought the Destination M/T's the last 3 times i changed tires. Treadwear and taction are phenomenal. I got 60,000mi on my last front pair, and the rears are still going. They consistently get the highest ratings on TireRack.com.

If you do a decent amount of wheeling/trail riding I highly recommend the M/Ts if you can get a deal on those too - they are virtually unstoppable.

I have had the A/Ts on my XJ since I bought it 8 months ago. I've put about 15k miles on them and they still look almost new. Performance is excellent, have had no problems whatsoever. Quiet on the road, pretty good grip on the snow. Only spin the tires when I want too. I say go for them.

I had Destination A/Ts on my Blazer and they were probably the best A/T tire I have ever used.

Best AT tire I have ever run. I put just over 30k on my XJ from the time I bought it in September (when I put the destinations on) to this past October. The tires still had easily 1/3 tread left. I took it offroad fishing, wheeling and driving around in the snow and ice we had last winter. They never let me down, and even got me out of several creeks I probably shouldn't have tried to cross.

Really? They are liked that well? I work for Firestone and cannot stand those tires or the MT's. IMO I reckon

I don't care for firestone tires either. I use Cooper ST's

I'm in Sheridan, 20 miles from Montana. A trip to Cheyenne would take at least 5 hours one way. That is a long drive for used 30s when I'm looking for 31s. Rawlins is closer, but I already have a nice set of 15" rims to use and 225s are a bit small for my liking.
