Question for others input
So I'm considering doing an tranny flush and filter on my 95 cherokee, I have a just a few questions before I do so.
1. Should I do it?
2.will it possibly damage the tranny if pervious damage has been done and such sludge is holding together
3. It makes a sort of klunk goin into gear from park like from park to rev or park straight to drive is that normal?
4. Should I clean the pan out and is it easy to take off

1. No
2. Possibly
3. Check your u-joints instead
4. No. Do not remove the pan. Your trans is equipped with a screen, not a filter. There is a drain plug on the bottom of the pan. Drain and refill the trans with Dex/Merc fluid only.

If it's nasty looking, repeat again in 100 miles or so, then again in another 100 miles.
U joints- you are looking for one or more that's loose. Grab both sides and twist back and forth. Should be NO slop. Start with the rear driveshaft as it's most likely the culprit.
