I just put a RC 3" lift on yesterday and had it aligned. at 45mph i start having a slight vibration and if feels like it's coming from the driveshaft. I feel it in the center counsel area. is this normal and if I was to install a TC drop would it take it away? is it anything to worry about? I have not experienced any death wobble yet but I have only got up to 50mph not sure if I would need to go faster to experience the DW. any help would be appreciated.

I run a rusty's tc drop and have not had any problems. I think dw can happen at any speed. I have never experienced dw. I have a 4.5" lift with a 1" tc drop and have very slight vibrations at 40 to 50 mph. something i can easily live with till i get the money for an sye

I wish this would have been posted last night, there was a Rubicon Express TC Drop on ebay for $5.50 that ended last night and went unsold. It was used but not a big deal with this type of part. Good luck with the jeep. Post some before and after pics if you can.

I just got back from the alignment shop for the third time. they were having a hard time with my 1 ton steering since its not something they have ever worked with in the past. they finally got everything aligned real good, i inspected it before I left the shop and it all looks great. I took it out on the expressway and cruised home. no vibrations and it looks like I will not need a tc drop. I will be posting some before and after pics in a new thread soon. thanks everyone.

all my RE t-case drop consisted of was a couple chunks of round tubing cut to 1 inch long with a couple new bolts installed on each side.
i've also made them out of 1 inch square stock with a couple holes drilled in them.
a t-case drop doesn't have to be complicated, just has to work. stack a bunch of washers, it'll all work the same.
my death wobble usually started at about 50kph (30mph). you wouldn't want it to start at any speed greater than that, trust me. haha.
it shouldn't matter what kind of steering is on your jeep, any good alignment shop should know how to adjust it, if not, i'd find a new alignment shop.

My "Custom" TC drop consisted of 1" square tubing that I purchased at Lowes. I cut it to the width of the TC mount and drilled a set of holes in it and got some longer bolts. Works GREAT and its really cheap.
I ended up painting mine red along with my D-ring shackles, Diff covers (Front and Back), and high lift.
I had to keep it clean looking.
