FYI
This might be an excellent time to consider to just replacing the D35 as it is a know problem with being weak for off road and larger tires. A good swap from a JY would be for a Chy 8.25 29 spline axles differential found in 97-01 XJ's. These are very strong about as good as a D44 but a direct bolt-in all that is needed is new u-bolts and they come with most all full leaf/coil lift kits.
This is what I would do instead of spending money on that D35 period when you can buy a good 8.25 for $200 or under just make sure of the year for the HD 29 spline axles 97-01.
