Default Question about tire rub

So I got a great deal on 31x10 tires on 15x8 steel wheels. All 4 for 200 even. My question is that I am about to install a 1.5" lift on my cherokee... Will I rub? Or will it just rub if I am making real sharp corners or flexing? This is my DD and I dont want rub on normal driving. If it does rub where will it rub?

I think the rule of thumb for a 31" tire is a 3" lift.. But how much different do you think the 1.5" will do vs a 3"?

Where is this 1.5" lift coming from?? I have never heard of it before, is why I ask. I'd say, just go with at least a 2" BB, then you should ok with a 31" tire. If some rubs a little...cut it off. That's what I've got...

If it were mine, I'd put them on, and cut off what rubs, but that is just me.

No, the plasma cutter will fry your paint about inch beyond the cut, and they don't thin metal cleanly. The weapon of choice is a body saw, or an angle grinder armed with a cut off wheel.
