I got an 1988 Jeep Comanche 4.0l Inline 6 and I want to upgrade to a bigger Alternator. I want to try find one around 140-160 amps and under $150. What are my options for upgraded alternator?

You will end up clearancing a heavier duty alternator. I checked Amazon one time and found one that put out 250 amps for stated price. I got one for my Chevy engine at that price. You will need to search for one for a pickup or WJ Grand Cherokee. But they do exist. I have been very happy with mine
Could attempt what I am having done at the moment. I am having an alternator rebuilt and having the amps upped. Have a guy in my area that handles stuff like this. When the dust settles he figures we will be somewhere around 150 amps and it will run me about $150.
Speaking of which he might be done with it. I should give him a call. LOL.
