Default pulling window up makes fuse blow

Everytime I close the driver side window the fuse blows out. Then I put in a fresh fuse and the window goes up fine. But five minutes later it happens again. I have replaced the fuse numerous times now and I want to do something about it.

How should I fix this? I am not good with electrical issues. Could it be anything in the circuit? Should I replace the motor? I am here to ask for some advice before I start checking randomly.

sounds like you might have a short some where....take a look in the door jam boot see if any wires are cracked or missing insulation. You might have a wire touching metal. Although if the boot is intact, it shouldn't touch metal, but it could touch another wire that is also missing insulation. Not sure if the switch itself could be causing the short too.

I have been checking the cables. I couldn't find an obvious crack. I put everything back and it seems to be fine. The fiddling seemed to have removed the short cut. Fingers crossed that it keeps working!

Window slow to move ? Spray guides with silicone spray with window down.

Remove door panel and regrease tracks also helps. Old grease tends to harden up.
