Exclamation Problems after installing new water pump

So far I have replaced the radiator, temp gauge, and now recently the water pump. It should be running fine but its not. After driving for about 20 minutes and the engine warms up to a little bit above 100 degrees, there starts to be problems with the engine. When I go to slow down to almost a stop, its as if the engine almost stalls out. It hasnt once stalled out completely, but it gets really bogged down as if its trying to take off in 3rd gear. Again, this problem only occurs after the engine is warmed up, it drives fine for the first 15 minutes. Its an 87 Cherokee 4.0 Inline Six Automatic. Any help would be appreciated!

So let me just eliminate this. Are you having any problems with overheating or anything?

You should clean the rad as well (externally) if your having over heating problems, helps me after thick mud...

Oh my mistake, by temp gauge I meant the thermostat, dont know what I was thinking lol But I dont think ive had any issues with overheating. Like I said before the most the temp gauge has gotten up to is about 120-130 or a little bit above the 100 mark, but I only drive it at the most 15 minutes to work and back so I cant really tell\

if it is only getting up to 130 something is wrong or your temp sender is bad

Its supposed to be getting up to more than 130? But I dont think ive driven long enough for it to get above that, its only driven for like 20 minutes at a time.

Should be above that in less than 10 minutes, should be almost warmed up in 10.

Is there any chance you typo-ed and meant temp sensor? Or is it the temp sendor. Sorry just trying to double check before I replace anything

You have a sensor for the ecm, then a sender for the gauge. I would double check and make sure your temp is actually only 130 with an infared thermometer, or take the gauge sender out and hook up a mechanical gauge and make sure of the temp.
