Weird. I have no holes passenger side except blower motor vacuum and the drain for hvac. Driver side I got one usable hole where I could stretch the bushing and its up at the cowl. All I'm saying is stock all the holes are filled with grommets and packed tight. Drilling a hole and putting a grommet through it is very easy.

0 ga. is 0.3249 so about 3/8th inch in diameter, depending on the thickness of the insulation jacket, could be up to 1/2 inch diameter.

On my '93, there don't seem to be any plugs that look great, but I did find a spot for drilling for when I put in my "real" power wires (not just the 8ga that I put in today for a temporary power tap).

Just inboard and up (1" and 1") from the hood pull cable is a nice open spot on the firewall where I plan to do my drilling. It's the opposite side of the engine bay from the battery, but what can you do?

Is this the grommet you're talking about for the wiring harness? I have it at two angles from the engine bay. It seems like I could cut right underneath it and have it run out under the driver's side on the inside of the cab. The last picture is where I think it would come out. It's the only place on mine I can see that I can splice to run a 1/0 gauge without drilling. Just want to make sure it's safe.
