Could be a number of things. Such a bad seal on the bottom of the gear. Best bet is to get a new one. Same thing happened to mine high pitch squealing and fluid pouring out of the bottom. You could even get one from a junkyard but make sure it's got a good seal. I went through two of in a week. You can get a remanufactured one depend on the amount of cash you want to spend. That's what I have and it's fine. Just didn't want to spend a whole bunch on one. Not too bad of a job to do. It's just bolted to the frame and steering column, with an upper and lower hose going to your pump. But remember, as long as you have fluid in the rez for the time being, it will last. Unless it's completely shot. Ran my broken one for 4 months leaking fluid. Not a good idea just saying. They're resilient.

Don't forget you have to reuse your old pulley.

Reman PUMP is about $60, Reman steering GEAR is about $150. Seems we're talking about two different things in the thread.

So which one do you think it is? I noticed some metal shavings inside the pulley where the PSP is attached? Is that from the bearing in the pump failing?

Replace the pump. Flush the lines. Check your serp belt while you have it loose.
