I have a 96 xj 4.0 auto 200,000 miles. Has new fuel pump and filters. New ignition tune up including coil and pick up coil. Fuel injectors are clean and have good spray pattern. It starts fine but lacks power while driving. Sometimes when taking off it stumbles then picks up but still lacks power.I really could use some help with thus problem

 

Were plugs,wires cap and rotor included in your ignition tune up?

 

Yes new plugs wires cap rotor the whole works

 

I'm starting to wonder if it's the map sensor or the air temp sonsor in the intake

 

Oh and also has new tps and fuel pressure regulator

 

Did you test the TPS, old and new?

Clogged cat?

 

Slap a supercharger on there. That'll take care of your power issues.

What kind of fuel pump did you put in there? When did these problems start? Before or AFTER all the maintenance you did?

 

Old tps was bad new one is good. All problems started before I did the work. Also when in park or neutral engine won't rev over 3 1/2

 

Also the cat was gutted before I bought it several years ago
