I bought my '99 XJ in late December and like so many others, the Cruise Control doesn't work and the AC and Heater only blow through the defrost vents. I know this is a sign that the vaccum line is broken or the canister has a crack in it, but I've tried to eyeball the vacuum lines and I just can't find them. They should lead to the passenger side bumper, right? Maybe they are tucked up tight against the fender and I just didn't notice.
So, my question is this: IF I find that my vacuum canister truly is missing along with the hoses, whats a good donor for the canister? Should I just nab another ball-shaped one from a donor XJ, or should I maybe get one of those bigger "coffee can" shaped ones from an old F150 or something?
And also, where exactly should this hook up? What I mean is, where does the vacuum begin at the engine? I have half a mind to relocate whatever canister I use and put it on the driver's side inner fender wall. Shouldn't cost much for some extra vacuum hose.

Thanks for the PM, TJ, that should help a ton on the connections and positions.
As for the JY donor canister, should I need it, anyone have suggestions?
