Just changed the gear oil with 75-90 LSD oil. It is a little better but still there. I think I will just leave it alone.

Toss the LS additive in there

Wouldn't lsd oil have lsd additive?

Just to give an update: I wrote the above like the day after I changed the fluid. Over the course of a week it got a little better eveyday, and now it is 100% gone. So if anyone goes through what I went through, don't get discouraged right away when it doesn't go totaly away first thing. I think it takes a little while for the new oil to work into the diff and everything.

Thanks for the update. It's not unlike the old Quadratrac transfer cases from the 70s. They had conical clutches in them and an additive was needed to rid them of shuddering on turns. Since we couldn't count on the customer to wait til the lube worked into the clutches, we would go find a big parking lot and do 10 figure 8s per Jeep's instructions. Shudder was gone.
