POS antenna

How do I remove the stock antenna? Can't get to it under the hood and it wont unscrew...mine is all bent up and im wanting to put a shorter ruber one on..any ideas?

On the 2000, you need to remove the fender liner to get to it. Just looked it up on Alldata, randomly.
88 does not specify....by the way the rubber antenna's suuuuuck.

Its an 88...and honestly I jam with my aux and ipod mostly...but that damN metal thing bends like a twig

I had to take the antenna off my 2001 to paint the fender and it snapped off in the hole. A bit of solder on the very bottom with fusor on the top fixed that up. Still was a pain.

I haven't had time to really look at mine..ill prolly just leave it...Damn thing gets bent so easily though
