Angry my 99 jeep cherokee turns over but won't startI have a 99' Jeep Cherokee and we have

I have a 99' Jeep Cherokee and we have just replaced the crankshaft sensor, starter, distributor cap and roters. Sometimes my car will start, but usually it will only start if it is cold. Sometimes it will allow me to start it when warm when I press the gas peddle all the way down and hold it until it is completely started. Also it when I drive it, it seems to be taking up way too much gas and the idle acts weird. Sometimes it feel like the idle gets stuck and is up too high. I know it is a fuel problem, but I can't figure out exactly what. The fuel injectors, fuel pump, filter, and relay are fine. I believe the problem is in whatever is putting the gas to the fuel injectors, but what? there are so many sensors and other things it could be. Any help would be great. Thank you!

Check the throttle position sensor.

ETA:
You have a distributor on a '99, you sure were talking about a Jeep?

When you checked the resistance of the TPS did it pass or fail?

If it fixed the problem it wouldn't matter, but if it didn't fix the problem you wasted your money.

I would pull the throttle body off and clean it up real good. Take out the Idle Air Control Valve and clean that up too. Check over all your hoses for vacuum leaks too. It sounds more like an Idle Air Control problem to me.

So it starts if you hold the gas down but will not start if you don't right?

it starts just fine when it's cold, but yes when its warm and doesn't want to start i can usually get it to by holding down the gas until its done and it will not start if i just try to turn the key only

Have you done any diagnostics at all?
(Compression test, verify function of electrical components, check for vaccum leaks, inspect wiring, etc.)
Did this no start condition happen suddenly or did it slowly become a problem? While were at it, how many miles, are you the original owner, and if so do you maintain it?

i am the original owner... my dad has always maintained it... its got 140k+ miles on it... and one day it just decided not to start but then it got worse and worse so i would say it slowly became a problem. i'm not exactly sure what my dad did in the way of diagnostics but he has determined that it is a fuel problem and that it most likely has something to do with the electronics involving the fuel injectors. there was a vacuum leak from a loose hose but that did not fix the current problem.
