Default Poor idle after wheeling

So I went wheeling last night and went into a hole that covered my jeep to the drivers mirror and the truck just died out after trying to start it again for another 5 minutes it finally started and I puttered out of the hole when I reached pavement I noticed sputtering and a very low idle got the truck home and turned it off and restarted it multiple times without a problem just low idle and it smells super rich I can tell it's adding a lot of fuel, what could be some causes of this I understand noting under the hood likes to get wet, I have a cone filter and it was soaked yesterday and damp today I'm wondering if water went inside the air cleaner into the throttle body and so on could this be bad plugs? Tps? I'm going to pull the plugs after work and I will update then any other suggestions

If I had to guess I'd say that your distributor got wet. Misfiring lead to excessive fuel in the cylinders. Smells rich because the fuel wasn't burning.

Pull the cap and make sure it's dry.

Your Jeep isn't a submarine.

My Jeeps TPS went bad, idled so low i'd die on me. I get on the gas hard and it'd sputter out too. It'd check your plugs first tho, ain't gonna cost ya much if ya just need new plugs

Pull the cap and check for water... I seriously doubt you fowled out plugs.

If you got enough water in the cylinders to hurt the plugs you have way more problems than spark plugs.

I pull all of the plugs out and there black some kind of rusty looking I will be getting new plugs no doubt I also took all of the sensors off of the throttle body cleaned then and cleaned the throttle body as well and still same misfire like issue I pulled the cap and rotor and it was dry I cleaned the contacts and put it back on I took off my cone filer and noticed in the pipe there was a little water but there were water/muddy water marks inside the piping so I'm pretty sure I took in water, what's the next step to take replace the plugs? Or is there something else I'm missing

If the cone filter is wet, could that be restricting air flow and causing a rich condition? If it was that wet on the drive home it probably caused lack of air and fouled the plugs at the least.

You probably also need to check the front diff and tranny and transfer case to make sure you didn't take on water there also.

The code is a 171 which is a lean condition not rich I did some more digging and with my scanner was able to check tps iac and a lot more sensors and even checked fuel trims short term fuel trim is 38% so it's adding a ton of fuel I graphed my o2 sensors and sure enough the b1s1 is at 0v not moving
