PO 700 code??

i have a 99 cherokee that just sputtered, and died on the side of the road today, w/ check engine light, brought to the dealership, and they put a tps sensor in it, now it runs good, but there is a PO 700 code still, what is that? and has anybody had this before? let me know Thanks!!!

Unless the code was "cleared", it will most likely remain in the computer for a predetermined amount of run cycles.
If you don't have a check engine light, don't worry about it. If you still have a check engine light, something is still wrong.

P-0700 is a MIL request from the ETAX (transmission controller) to the PCM (engine controller) to turn on the CEL. The ETAX doesn't have the ability to turn the CEL on itself.
Scan the transmission controller to see what the underlying code is. It may be something as simple as "Battery was disconnected" or could be more serious.

If you don't have the light, it means that the OBD system isn't sensing the fault.
The question that has not yet been answered is this.
AFTER replacing the throttle position sensor, have you seen the check engine light?
If you have seen the light after the repair, then the TPS may not have been root cause.
If you have not seen the light after the repair, then you're good to go.
