FYI, always post your vehicle info in the thread. I see you filled out your vehicle profile, but most members only browse the forums with their phones so they can't see that.

'96 4.0 is enough.

Anyways what side of the engine is it mounted to?

That looks exactly like the cradle holding the connector for my upstream O2 sensor, only mine has wires coming out of both ends. Does your engine have the O2 sensor in the down pipe going from the exhaust manifold down to the catalytic converter? If not that could be what it is, the O2 connector with a plug on it.

Mine has no O2 sensor and catalytic convertor. Im living in Indonesia. That makes sense. So this could be some sort of O2 sensor dummy. Giving the computer sort of signal that everything is ok.

Ah that explains it haha, lucky. I wish we didn't have emissions crap on our cars. Up here some cars run freaking 3 cats, it's ridiculous.

Nice it's still better than breathing loads of black diesel smoke from passing cars. The air is terrible here.

Oh, we still have the classic diesel smog from trucks. In my area people intentionally make their diesel pickups smoke like that. Dumbest thing ever since that's just raw, unburned fuel flying out of their tailpipes haha.

I'll admit sometimes it's fun, my buddies 5.9 Cummins used to smoke pretty bad (from 3 bad injectors lololol). But there's a limit to how much a truck should smoke.

LOL Rolling coughing coal. I used to life in Germany. Where the emission crap is more expensive than the whole car itself.
