Default please help with horn

hey my horn dont work i have 1999 JEEP cherokee 4.0 i bought of a freind he had stapped the streering wheel where the airbag and horn are with a knife now the horn stays on he took fuse out and i am trying to fix it when i take the horn and airbag off the air bag was not cut y would horn stay on

Because the horn switch is made up of 2 flat pieces. One side connected to ground the other to the horn circuit. When you push them together it completes the circuit. I am going to guess that the knife damage caused them to touch constantly. Please disable your airbag system by removing the negative battery cable and not letting it touch any metal and waiting at least 2 minutes for the system capacitor to discharge. Or it could go off and you wouldn't want your head in the way.

i see the peice your are talking about its behind the air back yes they have a knife hole but the peice is like clued in can u get newones
