how would i know if my torque converter is bad...i am and have been trying everything in my power to avoid replacing my tranny due to, money(unless i find one 100bucks or less), tool resources, and have no F**** clue how to change one out. basically my tranny slips when i stop and go so from 1-2...its good when im driving...when i stop i push gas to go and it revs likes in "N". Yes fluid is good, replaced TPS, tried shifting it manually with the TCU/TCM unhooked 1-2, 3, D. still it slips at the "stop and gos" i wanna say its the torque converter but i dont know need some advice..also was told to check vacuum line that goes to tranny, guess there is a vacuum module? hooked up next to the tranny...just give me what ya got thanks!

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the internal bands are worn out.

If they are, it means rebuild.

I hate to be the messenger of bad news.

Before you jump in deeper, I would take it to a * reputable* tranny shop.

I hope you find one.
