Thank you thank you and I appreciate the insight about the car seat. I haven't taken that into consideration but I'll bring a towel to prop it up, the seats are super squishy as well in the 2000... I love it.

Dude I think its so cool when I hear about women running shops... I have always been obsessed with cars but never really pursued my interest because I doubted I'd get much business if I were to ever work at a shop.

And I love the jeep for the few days I drove it, it was actually a smoother drive then I expected... Its definitley an upgrade from the POS mercedes I had. That little thing didnt even fit my carseat...

Bypassing the AC compressor can also save money on the actual repair in a less obvious way. It buys time for you to ask around at other shops for a more realistic price, and every time you ask around you mention that you bypassed it yourself for the time being. This will communicate that you are not desperate, and that you are not ignorant of how it works.
