ZJ will give you about a 2 inch drop.

No, it's only 3/4"-1" drop over a stock XJ arm.

Is the drop an advantage?? I've been offered a whole ZJ front suspension - drag link, pitman, tierod, etc. I haven't bothered to go pick it up - should I???

if your at a high enough lift (4"+) that you have drastic steering angles its a good idea, less stress on steering parts (tie rods, ect.)
im getting a drop pitman when i go higher...

A YJ pitman would be an inch shorter.. XJ pitmans are used as a 1" drop on the YJ's.
