pipe thing

so apone reinstalling my exhaust mani today and intake i noticed the p/o took off and blocked , a tube going from the bottom of the intake to the header, whats this do? anyone have a part number to order a new part and bolts

Its not the egr valve the egr is still there, its the tube like low range says

ok. well i just want my engine to work correctly and pass smog, i never noticed it because its under the intake mani and not on the egr, i ask if there is a part number as there are no close junkyards . its not listed as egr tube or anything where i can order,
