Unhappy pin stripe

what is the best way to get the old pin stripe off
mine is starting to peal and i want it all off

A little heat and a plastic bladee edges puddy knife..THen some goo gnoe or such to remove residue..Any left after that need a buffer to get off..

No it won't damage the paint.

Also it won't get most of the glue residue off either.. On most jeeps that pin striping has been on for years and a little body compound/wax and a buffer is the only way to completely remove it unless you want to change paint removal with a razor blade..

I have been using an Eraser wheel attached to a standard cordless drill on mine...

No damage to paint and works really well.

The eraser wheel is called a pinstriping removal wheel and can be found at any auto body supply store. I have also seen them at Harbor Freight. They are inexpensive, but be careful with the pressure...you can burn the paint if you press to hard.
