I recently bought a black jeep cherokee 99 as my first car, and i have alot of questions as to what sort of brands and makes that i should use if i were to install New speakers, a lift kit , black rims and a chrome grill. has anybody used a particular make that worked extremely well for them?

do not go rough country if you can go Rubicon express. Rough country has a terrible ride. I know this from installing one on my Ex's jeep. Its not worth it in my opinion. It is still rough even today after thousands of miles and many off roading trips. As far as speakers, Diamond Audio is by far the best bang for your buck in my opinion. And Rockford Fosgate is very good as far as subs and amps go and again a great bang for your buck Both have great customer service! and rims are what you think looks good. Just remember 5x4.5 bolt pattern with about 4" of back spacing on an 8" wide rim.

Okay thank you for the tips on which ones to go to but as this is my first car these are also all new things i have to come by like speakers and lift kits, from looking on google ive found a couple cheap lift kits (speakers i cant really find) bbut i need lift kits that are cheap but efficient and speakers that are loud, and will work for a decent amount of time. if anyone knows of cheap lift kits or speakers that are of the best bang for your buck please let me know

cheap and good quality are usually not synonyms.

rockford, infinity, sony, any brand name speaker will be decent and last. i have two infinity 12s that i have had since 2002 and they still hit hard and loud.

i have a rough country lift on my jeep and it was decently priced and seems well made. its only been on for a week but tons of others are running them. it was only like 350 or 400 bucks for a 3" lift and only took a weekend (total) to install. i have 2" spacers on top of hte front springs and 2" shackles on the back to make mine a 5" lift though. rides rougher then my wife likes but not to rough for me. don't forget you will need an adjustable trac-bar if you go over 3".

my wife bought me some black steelies from discount tire with some nice goodyear 31" mudders two weeks ago. they knew the specs already so i just told them what i wanted

don't forget you will need an amp also, or speakers. and maybe a capacitor if you get a large amp

if you want stereo stuff, I'd highly recommend checking craigslist, head units and subs are a dime a dozen in my area(just outside KC). I had 2-12" Kicker Comp subs, Alpine 1000 watt mono amp, and an older Alpine head unit and that whole system ROCKED, you could watch the back glass move with the subs, lol, anyways, I bought ALL that stuff off craigslist for about $300, new that stuff would've probably been around a grand or so. I'd keep your grill black if it were mine, throw a 3" lift on, get some black streetlock wheels with the fake beadlocks, and some 31's and call it good.

Zone offroad makes pretty cheap lifts. Ive heard they were pretty good quality too! Although i would stay away from the Add-a-leaf. Zone offroad is actually a sub company of BDS, Who are known for a quality product.

As far as a sound system... I have one of the best sounding systems in my town. Its all Infinty speakers including the DVC 12" subwoofer, and an Alpine mono amp. I used to do the whole loud bass thing but i grew up and turned the amp down and the highpass filter on... Now any hard metal song sounds like a your at a concert! I have had this sound system for over 6 years now. It all came out of my VW jetta.

I have a Rubicon Express lift on mine and it rides great and never given me problems. I dont know from personal experieance but I have heard a few bad remarks like the one above about Rough Country so it might be a commen thing.
