Nothing I notice. Was cleaning a few ground points and just noticed this.
Engine knocks. Cuts off when I put in gear and begin to give gas (only sometimes however on "bad starts.")...don't think the missing piece is related.

The wiring harnesses always have plugs for options you don't have. (they don't make them different for each) Still that sure looks like it goes to something! Are the plugs right for a standard SPDT relay?

That would be your OBD connector. You'll need either a OBD1 scanner for Chrysler vehicles, or an OBD1/2 scanner with the appropriate adapter. I have one of the latter and it works great!

jewhitfield06, i know it is off topic, but hit that shock mount with some rust inhibiting oil to break up that rust that is beginning to show. check the wheel well underside too. you don't want that rusting up and it looks like it is early enough to stop it.
i use WD40 at first (spray it till it is wet and let it sit for a week), then clean it off with some white vinegar (acid in the vinegar helps break down rust a little bit) and sand paper. once it is dry, i use LPS 3 as a temporary long term coating to help protect against rust. works well for me. i am sure there are other methods too.
good luck.

1987-1990 are Renix (AMC, I suppose) (with ECU), electronic control unit.
1991-1995 are OBD-I (Chrysler) (With PCM)
1996-2001 are OBD-II (Chrysler)(With PCM), powertrain control module.
Sort of like the operating system's. They all have a diagnostic port somewhere where you plug in a scanner.
The On Board Diagnostics might actually work on OBD-I, up to some point in 96. After that it's only "On Board" if you are carrying a scanner. >>
The "Key Trick"
Older (OBDI) models - Start with the ignition off. Within five seconds, switch the key on, off, on, off, on. ("On" is NOT "Start" and "Off" is NOT "Lock"). The "check engine" light will flash. Count the flashes. Each code is a two digit code, so a (for example) 23 would be FLASH FLASH (pause) FLASH FLASH FLASH (long pause). It will never flash more than 9 times, so watch for those pauses!

Thanks for the info guys. And oldtires, the WD-40 is def something I will be doing. I'll be replacing some things due to overall rust on this thing anyway. In the future: rocker panels and floor pans once some of the moving parts have been replaced.
Any recommendations on things ya'll would do as "must" on a Jeep that I know little about and that has appeared to have been sitting for a while?

Seems like EGR socket or something like that... I see a Mopar ECU and really dont remember my previous jeep(mopar) sockets under the hood. But otherwise it could be a diagnostic socket.I am on Renix now=)
