Default Performance chip for 1990 XJ

Does anyone know if any performance chips (particularly JET) will work with the 1990 cherokee computers even though they always list for 1991 and newer??

It will not work. Don't even waste your money. They don't work on any year xj.

Replace your CPS with a PC307 from RockAuto and that will advance the timing a bit. If they still have them. Be sure to drill the upper mounting hole. Post 7.

Be sure your distributor is indexed correctly. Post 13.

There was one, but rare. I don't have one though.
I have my own methods to pull a bit more HP out of the REnix motors.

Go Go Gadget Microcontroller!

Could be a real problem with the holidays coming up. How many people at the dinner table will be able to talk like a DRB?

Just a thought, Fords' inline had a chip and a similar setup to ours could some wiring genius make that happen?

Well considering a lot of "chips" are actually resistors that fool the MAP sensor, sure, why not?
