I have a 1997 Cherokee Country 4X4 with a 3" lift. I am wanting to tow it behind my RV. I found the following on page 131 of the owners manual:" Internal damage to the transfer case will occur if a front or rear wheel lift is used when recreational towing" Will this mean I can not tow my lifted Cherokee behind the RV?

 

It means that don't 2 wheel dolly tow the jeep. All 4 wheels should be either on or off the ground.

 

Thanks for your reply. I wish the manual would have just said that.

 

As long as the transfer case is in neutral it makes no difference how you tow it.
