Default Overdrive on the 2000 Cherokee SE
I just got a 2000 Cherokee a few weeks ago and I keep reading about an overdrive on/off. I can't find it anywhere in the Jeep. Is there a button for that or something? If so, where can I locate it? I can't find it!!!!

It's your shifter.

Pull out of "D" down to "3"

I have a 5-speed manual. Do the 5-speeds have overdrive?

5th gear is overdrive.

An overdrive switch is for automatics or manuals with electric overdrive.

fourth gear ratio is 1.0 and fifth gear is .79 i.e. overdrive
