Over heating problem

Exclamation Over heating problem

my 01 GC V6 is overheating . my fan isnt turning on. i checked the fuses and they are ok. i also replace the fan relay and still the fan isnt turning on. i had tryed jumping the fan from the battery and it works. i check if theres any power going to the fan cables with my tester.the wires had power. i dont know what else is the problem? im running out of ideals. if some can please help me out with this problem. thank you.

Overheating is a common problem. Use the search feature of this website and you will get more threads than you can read in one sitting.

The input signal from the "coolant temp sensor" is critical in turning on the e-fan.

I'd consider replacing it.

Always post the year/engine for most accurate replies. Is this for your 2001 GC?

yeah its a V6 01 GC.i will go tomorrow and replace it,hopefully that will fix the problem.i will let you guys know. thanks for your help guys.

ok guys i had found the problem and it end up being the fan motor went on me. before i changed the fan motor, i had replace the relay,temp sensor and the thermostat. it ran fine for two days until again the dam fan wont kick on. i dont know what else to do? i heard that there are more then one temp senors in my 01 cherokee V6. im thinking of replacing the other temp sensor i dont know if that will help or not. any ideals please. thanks
