idk what your price range is but my 235's cost a little under 600, then ya gotta get em mounted... if you can find a good offroad tire in a 31" for less that 150 id be supprised. i guess used is an option... the way i see it, my dura tracks arent a dedicated mud tire (neither is my xj...) but they are full of siping and do really well in snow, so i can run em year round w/o worrying about needing winters... now like i said, shes not a dedicated 'froadin machine so i can get away with a slightly less dedicated tire. but, they are a 10 ply tire with good tread depth, that, running at 25 psi. can net me 20mpg on a good day.. i thought they were at 30 psi. so they have been adjusted since... idk, my 02!

besides the bfg's that EVERYONE has, i do see a few rigs runnin the dura's... bigger is better, to a point... and getting your axles up higher is always an issue... id go so far as to say that if your lookin to really do some 'froadin then 33's are a good place to start. but at least 31's. anything smaller and you dont get that axle clearance that you need... but lets not forget our open diffs... the bane of my jeeping world, thats for sure... tires are al well and good, but if you get in deep, no tire will help if its not spinning.. also, the bigger the tire the more torque it takes to turn it, which is a direct translation to stressing the components...

Well running stock height on 30s i shouldnt have a problem right? Im aware of the gearing issues with the big tires but that is something i will worry about in the future when i can afford the lift n stuff.
