Default onboard air?

anyone running an onboard air system. not the kind where youre using a a/c compressor. im talking like using and electric pump to a tank of some sort. i would like to see what you had built so i can get some ideas of my own. thanks guys. pics would be nice, thanks.

I myself am not running anything like this but I read somewhere back in the forums about someone having their ac compressor hooked up to be used as an air compressor, and tube bumpers being used as air tanks....I can't remember where it was posted though.

im in the process of this right now. but the OP is asking about a non-a/c compressor style. i used to have a single electric pump and a 5 gal tank. noisier than all heck but it seemed to work fine. it will be noisier, more of a pita to mount somewhere, and more expensive versus using your a/c compressor, but if you like your a/c then by all means go electric. your best bet if you want a middle of the line setup is a 5 gal tank and a Viair 480c compressor. it will go up to 200 psi, and you can regulate down to whatever is needed. the next step (what i would do personally if i didnt have my 24 gal tank on the way) would be to get the dual 480c compressors and a 10-12 gallon tank. lots of air and the 480's arent too noisy and theyll last forever
