Default Old Man Emu HD leaf springs with overload Q

Anyone running the hd leaf springs from OME? It's the one with the overload spring. My overload spring is arched downwards, opposite of the other springs. Is this normal? Why is it arched down? It looks like it'll be in the way of trail obstacles.

I ordered HD springs and it came with it. From what i read, it's a dual-rate spring pack.

gotcha, why not just take it out if you arent going to be needing it (unless of course if you are going to be carrying a lot of heavy things)

Yeah i think i am going to. I don't haul anything except my own **** and trail gear on muddin trips. I will be hauling a trailer to move this summer but that's it.

Maybe i can sell the overloads to someone who does tow.

ya its possible, my thoughts are there is enough that has potential to catch down there so why would you want to add another thing?

OldManEmu's are real populars in Australia. I know several people that run them om their KIA Sporties and love them.

Yeah that's why i choose OME over any other suspension "upgrade". OME is made in australlia and whatdoyaknow, australia is mainly an off-road country so they make great kits to handle the rough terrain there. It may not be a sky-high lift but it rides so well. Ride quality is my priority.

If you look at most of their "overland" rigs, you'll see that they don't use a lot of lift. Washed out roads and such are their challenges......more Ralley than Rock.
Besides, with them, Like West Texas, recovery assistance is a long way away.
