It's been so long since I dismantled two XJs to build one (like 2 1/2 years) I can't remember how this goes.

The end of the seat belt opposite the retractor on the drivers side doesn't have a threaded hole. The passenger side has metal threaded insert in the body for the bolt to thread into but the drivers side has a plastic POS that looks like this.


Here it is pried out.




It's nothing that would hold a bolt and I cannot figure from the box that I put all the seatbelt parts in how this it's supposed to get mounted properly.

What am I missing?

The rear seat is the same way. Threaded metal insert on passenger side. Plastic POS on drivers side. The 94 I parted for some of the build is the same way. I don't remember doing anything other that removing the bolts.

Appreciate any insight or experience.

Never mind. Just pulled the back seat out of the shed to line up a few more things and had my Ah-Hah moment. Sorry I didn't get that sooner. The beauty of a two door.
