Side Ladder
So I was looking around online for a vehicle ladder but all I could find is for the rear and I really needed one for the side of my Jeep Cherokee. So realize I had to get one custom made or make my own. I asked around with metal and aluminum welders and custom car builders but they quoted me way over my budget. Somewhere Around $300.00 which is a fare price but I'm in a little bit on budget right now and I need this done soon for work. So I came up with own build only cost me $70.00 for a 60" aluminum RV bunker ladder.
I bought a 60" RV bunker aluminum ladder from etrailer.com Then I cut it just above the second step from the bottom up.
Packed the inside of the aluminum pipes with play sand and tape each ends to keep the sand in. The sand helps the aluminum pipes to keep there shape and not to crease when you bend them. The Aluminum pipes Are thin so I could only do about a 35 degree bend before they get too weak or break.
It's a temporary hold. Next step is to make it permanent to the side.
