with a rear axle you can check the ratio just by turning the wheels and counting how many turns the drive shaft does per one full rotation of the wheels. for example: if you turn the wheels one full turn and count 3 turns of the drive shaft, then most likely 3.07 gears, if it turns three and a half, then most likely 3.54, etc... thats the easiest way, you don't even have to take the diff cover off.

so im about half way threw now... and taking some photos haha... n i got lucky. the spacing and the tooth count on the ring gear are the same, as well as the pinion gear. it just has different numbers on it... n im not chancing over everything cause i dont wanna have to deal with the pinion depth and the backlash sens i dont have a dial caliper... oh yea my finger hurts really bad right now and there blood under the nail haha

shes finnished! no binding in 4wd and seems to ride better...
