Six for all 242ci Jeep engines.

It will run on five, but why would you want to? Dump in six and call it good (six and a half, if you've upsized the filter to a one-quart job. OEM filter holds a half-quart.)

Experience.

I've been doing mechanical work since I was six (built my first engine at eight, and built amateur racing engines starting when I was 13. Exotic fuels at 16.)

I've done machine work on and off since I was about eight. My granddad taught me - and I still have most of the tools me had me make (that's what apprentices do to learn operations - make their own tools.)

Engineering? All practical education - started that when I was ten. Wood and metals, mainly, with some plastic work thrown in.

Electronics? Been doing that since I was eight as well.

Electrics? About eleven (yes, electronics and electrics are two different fields.)

Chemistry? About nine. Explosives shortly afterwards (granddad again.)

I probably haven't "mastered" any trade in the true sense (taught someone up to - or past - your own skill level,) but I would consider myself "skilled" in around a dozen or so trades by now - and I'm always looking to learn more!
