Default oil problem

my problem is i just changed out the valve cover on y Jeep and thought that would fix the leak i had but now i have a leak from the cap where i put in the oil and my question is could that be an oil pressure problem or is it something else and how common is it?

Never seen it do that may be too much oil or could possibly be to much pressure,

Well if its leaking oil its also leaking pressure. It depends on how bad your cap is leaking. Whats your pressure at right now at idle. Your pressure should be at about 40 at idle and increase while driving. I know when i change my valve cover gasket and oil cap my pressure increased alot. I would change out the cap. Its only like a $10 part and hopefully that will fix it.

If the vent gets clogged then it has no where to vent but the cap. Check that you didn't get a vent line crimped. Oil pressure should not be a problem since the valve train is fed and is used as a return to the pan for oil to get back to be recirculated. It is a drip system.

Small lines on top of the valve cover. One at each end If I remember right. Mine is a Renix so a little different.

well there was a place where the line on the front split to another line (dont know where to) but it was disconnected from there so that might of been the problem

Could be! just take a look at the gallery of photos and try to find someones picture of an engine that is close to the year that yours is and see if you can trace that line. If it is the same as mine then I will be able to take a picture to send you.
This may help you and it may not.

If you are leaking oil from the filler cap area replace the cap that means the gasket is no longer sealing..Mine did that and when I say leaking just slight not like I could watch it coming out..I just noticed oil in the area around the cap..replaced it and cleaned up never saw it again.
