I'm just curious, does anyone know if the oil pressure port where the oil pressure sensor goes is able to be adjusted at all? I put new oil filter adapter seals and a new oil pressure sensor on and the oil pressure sensor touches the oil dipstick tube. The cylindrical port is the one in question.
It can be set a little counter clockwise from where it currently is. I had the same issue. My engine was out tho. Just pull it and clean all the threads then re install with a little sealer.

Agreed.. It doesn't have to be cranked down super tight just re-clock it when you reinstall it.. No leaks and you're good to go...
Also agree.
I just assume that is pipe thread too like the sensor so...
Hell knowing me I would give it a twist and see what happens.
If it leaks then take it out and put on some new thread sealant.
Am curious about one thing on the sealant.
I plumbed in some fittings so I could run a tester and the sensor at the same time.
I used this:
I always wondered if I was right or wrong in using that.
I tested my pressure before capping off the port and using that sealant.
My thinking is if I ever want to check it again with a tester for the life of me won't be able to get that cap off.
LOL.
yes you can angle or extend in any direction with the proper combination of 1/8 pipe couplings and tubes. I have mine mostly set up like Ralph77 with a mechanical gauge permanently installed with the stock sender also.
I had time tonight to take the cylindrical port off. Cleaned off the threads and cleaned the whole thing up a bit. Applied some high temp thread sealer and threaded it back in. I was able to re-clock it to a better spot and now there's plenty of room for the sensor. Hopefully I got it tight enough. I'm letting the thread sealer sit awhile on it tonight and I'll start it up tomorrow and check for leaks.

Reason: Add pictures
Your only issue now is not to snap it off when removing the oil filter...it appears very close in the picture
I was afraid of bumping mine when it got extended with those fitting I plumbed in.
But a little care and me using an oil filter cap makes it pretty much not an issue.
Don't know if im so keen on loosening the filter from the bottom...But I just took some pictures of mine, it appears much closer in the pictures than it actually is. Over the years and on different engines I have used many combinations of 45's and straights to get whatever configuration produced the desired results. I also keep a 1/8 plug and teflon in case the sensor ever self destructs
